Barack Obama was 8 years old when William Ayers was setting bombs. So freakin' what?! No one has ever claimed that Obama assisted Ayers, the issue it brings to the fore is: Obama's judgement.
Would you work on a board promoting educating children with OJ Simpson? How about (hypothetically since one is dead and the other is in jail) Timothy McVeigh or Eric Rudolph? Would you launch your political career at their house? Accept their campaign contributions?
Of course not. And why not? Because they are unrepent criminals and murderers. OJ got off because of lousy prosecution and a jury that gives new meaning to the phrase "star-struck".
Ayers was never convicted either, why? Prosecutorial misconduct. Not innocence. In his own words, he is "Guilty as sin, free as a bird."
So then, is it "pathetic", "mudslinging" or "a smear" to ask why Barack Obama lacks the common sense judgement to shun unpunished, unrepentent terrorists and murderers?
